How your Donation Helps

Your financial support is an investment in the health and safety of our community. Hope’s Wings provides critical human services when families need them the most. By making a gift, you will help provide life-saving services and hope for tomorrow. There are many monetary ways to help, including planned giving and designations through Amazon Smile and other companies.

You can donate to Hope’s Wings at anytime here. A gift of any amount is important.

$25 provides a week’s worth of meals for a mother and children living in our shelter
$50 provides two months of hygiene and laundry supplies for a mother and her children
$100 pays a staff advocate to spend a day at the hospital or court with a victim
$500 will sponsor a bedroom in the shelter (linens for four beds, curtains, rugs, lamps, hangers, etc.).
$1,000 provides a family with rental and utility deposits once they are ready to move into their own safe home!

Hope’s Wings does not charge domestic violence victims and their children for our services. This means that we provide them with free safe shelter, electricity, water, internet, telephone, food, laundry supplies, toiletries, clothing, medications, transportation, and professional services 24/7.
The monthly cost for all of this is just over $22,000. While we are blessed to be able to provide these services, we cannot do it without the help of generous donors.

MONTHLY Donation Program

How much do you spend on coffee and treats in a month?

DID YOU KNOW … for even a fraction of that amount, you can help serve families in need? All donations make an impact, large and small.

You can donate to Hope’s Wings on a monthly basis. How much do you spend on coffee per month, or snacks, or streaming services. Did you know that the costs of those non-essential items that we indulge in each month can provide essential items for the women and children at our shelter? Those even small monthly donations can provide food, meals, clothing, personal items, toys, and healthcare for our residents.

Leave a Legacy: Planned Giving through the Hope’s Wings Endowment
Speak with us about making a gift from your DAF, IRA, stock portfolio, or confidentially discuss your legacy giving or creating an LHS endowment plan. The Hope’s Wings endowment is managed by the Bluegrass Community Foundation.

Endowments
The Hope’s Wing Endowment is our financial vehicle to provide for the future of our organization. As it grows, the endowment allows the organization to grow and enhance services while maintaining all financial obligations.

Cash Donation

Hope’s Wings depends on the generous support of private donors for the majority of our funding needs. A gift of any size is appreciated and goes directly to services for survivors of domestic violence and community education programs.

Did you know you can donate to Hope’s Wings by grocery shopping? The Kroger Community Rewards program makes fundraising easy by donating to local organizations based on the shopping you do every day. Once you link your Card to an organization (Hope’s Wings Inc), all you have to do is shop at Kroger and swipe your Shopper’s Rewards Card.

Other Donations

Donate Used Cell Phones
Donate your old cell phone to support the critical programs of Hope’s Wings and help our environment. Hope’s Wings collects and distributes working cell phones to victims of domestic violence so that they may call 9-1-1 for help in emergencies. Non-Traditional Gifts
Donate to the Hope’s Wings Endowment Fund at Blue Grass Community Foundation. Consider giving a deferred gift such as bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable lead trusts, Individual Retirement Accounts, or life insurance; or a gift of securities by donating appreciated stock, or other securities that you have held for at least a year.

In-Kind Donations
We are always in need of items for our shelter and Hope’s Wings greatly appreciates in-kind donations; they go a long way to helping provide the best environment for those who stay at our shelter. Call for our shelter “wish list”.

Your expertise is valuable to Hope’s Wings and those we serve. Everything from legal services to haircuts to marketing expertise would be greatly appreciated.
